Oil, Chemical & Sewage Spills
We are a fully accredited member of the UK and Ireland Spill Association (UKEireSpill), the national trade body for companies, organisations and individuals involved in spill and incident management. Our accreditation recognises that DAMM Environmental has the skills, training, and equipment to deal with the full spectrum of possible fresh water and groundwater spills and contamination.
Our emergency hotline is staffed by trained professionals 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, enabling us to mobilise our highly skilled teams, equipped with the latest spill and clean-up technology, within an hour. Our Scottish Rapid Response Centre is centrally located, allowing us to reach spills all across Scotland, as quickly as possible.
A DAMM Emergency Spill Response is only the first step though. We also offer service solutions for land remediation projects, so we are able to return a spill site to a safe environment once again. A rapid response, expert analysis and prompt action are key to containing oil and chemical spills. Whether we’re dealing with oil, chemicals or other hazardous materials, DAMM have the proven expertise to tackle every emergency – from a minor spill to a major industrial disaster.
Tackling the Largest On-shore Diesel Spill in UK History
In 2009, DAMM Environmental responded to the biggest on-shore diesel spill in UK history when a bridge collapsed, derailing a train carrying 1 million litres of diesel. Our rapid response meant that we were able to recover over three-quarters of the diesel. We then provided our environmental clean-up services to assist local authorities in making the spillage site safe again.
