New Lining Equipment

Here at DAMM Environmental, we recently undertook a job in Motherwell which was the very first of its kind for us, utilising an exciting new piece of kit! On this particular drainage project, we were working for Synergy Civil Engineering – who are building a new Ford car garage. DAMM attended the garage building site to install a 15m liner on a defective sewer. We wanted to install a liner on this job, rather than using patches, because we knew it would create a strong foundation of pipe work. This is also the preferred method of Scottish Water – who have to ensure their network is fit for purpose to enable new site connections.

This new car garage are linking their new building works into an existing drain. On this occasion, without DAMM’s equipment and expertise, they would have had to excavate out onto the busy adjoining public footpath and carriageway – which wasn’t a viable option in this case due to various utility services located between the footpath and the road. On this job we utilised our new Sluice 300 Lining Machine. This machine allows us to install full liners! It’s great because the built-in spray system evenly lubricates liner, and it’s practical design means it can easily be navigated through jobsites via its large wheels and sturdy handles. Thanks to RSM who supplied DAMM with our new lining machine and subsequent training.
